It’s that time of year! We're not talking about pumpkin spice: we're talking about Scotchtober! To celebrate the season, the Whiskey Library is partnering with Speyside Scotch distillery Benriach to bring you a spooky-good in-person tasting of the new Benriach lineup. Join us in person on Monday October 25 us at 7:00pm at Crimson in Washington, DC for an amazing tasting. Your $25 ticket includes entry to the event, a tasting pour of every whisky in the tasting, and small bites.

In this tasting, Tim Heuisler, Beam's American Whiskey Ambassador for the East Coast, will walk us through how to read an American whiskey label, what has to be on every label, what specific terms legally mean, and why you should care. We’ll taste four whiskeys and talk about how from America’s first whiskey label law in 1897 through to today, American whiskey regulation has influenced whiskey itself.

Join us for an intimate dinner dedicated to local whiskey and rum, at the America Eats Tavern in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring passed bites in addition to specialty cocktails created exclusively for the event. The dinner will feature a 6-course tasting menu highlighting seasonal and local ingredients, each paired with a unique whiskey or rum from one of the local distillers, who will be on-hand to discuss each spirit.
