SOLD OUT: Old Forester: Taste Your Way Through History

  • The Whiskey Library Online (via Zoom) (map)

Take a walk through the history of bourbon. Join Whiskey Library co-founder Brian Thompson and Old Forester’s James Joseph to taste and talk about how bourbon has changed over its 200+ year history. Along the way, we’ll cover early bourbon and original recipes (Old Forester 1870), the Bottled In Bond Act (Old Forester 1897), double barreling (Old Forester 1910), prohibition-style bourbon (Old Forester 1920), and a modern barrel strength expression (Whiskey Library’s own private single barrel).

Thank you for your interest! This event is sold out.

Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson is co-founder of the Whiskey Library. Brian has been leading whiskey education events since 2014.

Brian's whiskey collection includes over 300 unique bottles, focusing on both Scotch and American whiskies. Brian has collaborated with over a dozen major brands in the industry, ranging from BenRiach, Laphroaig, Arran, The Macallan, and Compass Box to Heaven Hill Distillery, Old Forester, Jack Daniels, Whistle Pig and Beam Suntory. He has helped design special custom blends, led numerous tastings, and worked with each of their teams on various events.

If he isn’t sampling something new or working with clients to help them stock their private collections, Brian is probably sitting by a fire with a few open bottles telling stories.
