We, at The Whisk(e)y Library, are planning something big. Something really big. Something 200 liters of aqua vitae big. As you can tell by the name of this post – and the ones to follow over the coming months – we are buying a barrel of whisky! We will have it bottled exclusively for our members and it will be sold through our local partners.  

No, we’re not going to tell you exactly which distillery we chose yet, but we will tell you that this will be the first barrel of what we hope to be many from Scotland, America, and beyond. We have been doing our research, and this week, we will get to taste a dozen different cask strength expressions from the distillery we picked. During the tasting we will determine what flavor profile suits this whisky the best and will seek to capture it in our selection.
